Birthday Party

Gettin' creative with the cupcakes! We had a little birthday party for Brookie! We wanted to invite more of her friends but we can only fit so many in our apt... and we it was fun!

Brookie Turns 1

On our way home from Utah we spent our last night in Vegas so we could catch our early flight the next day. Brooklyn's grandparents (Braziers) took us to celebrate her birthday a little early at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM. It was awesome!! Thanks Grammie and Grandpa!

They brought Brooklyn (well... us) out a hot fudge sundae with the sparkler on top. Brooklyn was eager to play with the sparkler!!! We stopped her :)

She loved looking at all of the cool scenery in the restaraunt! That or she was practicing to be a waitress!?!?!

WOW!!! Cute.... okay this is a time to brag as a parent.... A lady stopped us in the airport and wanted us to get Brooklyn started as a Gerber Baby model, she gave us the whole pitch and told us she was a representative of their company. It was a "thanks but no thanks" moment. We just can't believe how cute she is!

Pregnant

Soooooo.... WE ARE PREGNANT!!! Shayna is now 14 weeks along and the due date is the second week of July! We are very excited and suprised! :) We will find out the gender at around 20 weeks and inform everyone!!! Brooklyn says she can't wait to teach her little sibling all the tricks!

Christmas Pics

Grammie (Brazier) enjoyed scooting Brookie around the house in this box. We don't know who was most entertained by this!!!

Aunt Heidi made the matching PJ's for all her kids and Brooklyn. These are her cousins Jake, Luke, David, Amber and Brookie! Thanks Heidi.... they are awesome!!!

Grandma Bush (Shayna's Mom) has made her home a kids dream. She bought this rocking horse that also plays music. As you can see Brooklyn loved riding the horse and loved it even more when everyone was watching!!! Thank you Grandma Bush!

Brooklyn warmed up to her Grandparents and even gave some snuggle time to her Grandma Bush!

CUTE!!!!! Grandma got Brooklyn this dress for Christmas and Drew made her the beanie for Christmas!!!! We love our adorable girl!!!

Halloween

Brooklyn got her first taste of candy!!! Mommie let her try her sucker and Brooklyn didn't want to give it back! She really enjoyed it and it gave a whole new perspective in her life!

That is just the way we roll! We didn't have an idea for Drew's costume on the day of Halloween so Shayna suggested to be the "bottom of the closet".... it worked out great for a poor grad student! We just pinned on the clothes everything we found on the closet floor! The dumbest things are funnest things!

Brooklyn was a frog! She walked around as we went trick-or-treating with our cousins kids (Cam and Jen's kids)... she seemed to like playing in the leaves more than anything!

Shayna was a football player!!! There is our little family!

Pumpkin Patch

She woke up!!! Trying to find out why her parents would put her on these hard orange balls and tel her to smile and take a picture... still so cute!

We went to CiCi's Pizza for lunch and introduced Brooklyn to a pizza buffet. She actually only had spaghetti! She doens't like for us to feed her, she is independent :) or so she thinks!

It has been getting cold in Denver! Oh... she makes us smile everyday!

Brooklyn Walking

Yeah... We can't believe it either! Brooklyn is officially walking! WOW! She just turned 9 months and did so ready to rock and roll! Brooklyn has grown up and even made it into 25th percentile on weight, yeahhhh! The video kind of skips around so be patient with it... but you can still see she is walking! We love her!

So, there are a couple things in life we must teach our children.... 1st the Gospel and 2nd to be a Sooner and figure only good choices will come with that!!!!

Free Zoo Day

The Denver Zoo had a FREE zoo day!!! Shayna, Brookie and friends from the ward enjoyed the beautiful day checkin' out the animals!

Fun With Family

Brooklyn and her cousin (Tracker) ended up having a great time playing. They especially enjoyed stealing one another's pacifiers. The poor dog heard us saying several times to the babies, "be nice to the dog".

Utah and Idaho Trip

We took off on a two week trip to Utah and Idaho before Drew started school. We visited Drew's sister Heidi (1st pic) and her family. Amber (2nd pic) was a great help with Brooklyn and loved playing with her. As you can see Brooklyn loves eating "real food" now. The last pic is of the outfit that Grandma Bush bought for Brooklyn. She is our cute little bunny!!!

Family Reunion 2008

We made it back alive! We went to a campground near Bryce Canyon in Utah for our Brazier Reunion. It was an excellent adventure for the family. We weren't able to get in the lake because of leaches but we sure did enjoy time with family! On Sunday we found out there was a branch (small LDS church) for travelers nearby. So, a lot of us went and participated in church in shorts and t-shirt (the kids loved it)! As you can see in the above pictures little Brooklyn was happy outdoors. She also enjoyed all of her family members, Uncle Ben is the one in the hat holding her. Brooklyn is taking her first crawls right now and loves to pull her self up to stand. She is an inquisitive girl and loves to smile. We sure do love her! She has made our marriage even stronger.

Swim Day With Hendricks

Shayna's long lost cousin (Cameron) lives here in Colorado, about 15 minutes from our place. We have loved spending time with him and his wife (Jen) and their kids. This is one fun family and they treat us great!!! The first picture is of Shayna, Brooklyn, Amy and Drew. Amy plays alot with Brooklyn and teaches her all of the tricks. The second pic is with Brooklyn and Jane. Jane is such a great girl and we hope she can teach Brookie to be so kind. The third pic is of Amy, Drew, and Claire. Claire is the social butterfly and very smart. The fourth pic is Jen and Owen. Owen is hillarious and has a great army crawl. The last pic is little Brookie after some time at the pool.
